Would you like to give triathlon a go, but not sure where to start? Or maybe you’re keen to get back into the sport after taking a break? Our Beginners Course is for anyone wanting to enter or re-enter the sport in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
The 8 week course includes weekly cycle/run/swim sessions delivered by Triathlon Australia certified coaches, with the goal of graduating by racing at a Queensland Triathlon Series race in Brisbane.
Duration: 8 weeks
Cost: $225
Graduation Race: Raby Bay QTS – TBA
Weekly Training Schedule
Run sessions – Tuesday & Thursday 5:30am – 6:30am. Meet at South Bank.
Cycle session – Wednesday 5:15am – 6:30am. Various locations
Swim session – Monday 6pm – 7pm. Aquatic Centre, QUT Gardens Point

Here’s what is included in the course…
Cycle & Run Sessions
All SBTC coached cycling and running training sessions for 8 weeks
Swim Sessions
1 coached swim squad session per week for 8 weeks
Bike Maintenance
Basic bike maintenance session to keep your bike on the road
Workshops & Webinars
Key informational sessions covering running form, injury prevention and recovery (delivered by qualified physio), goal setting, nutrition PLUS we'll cover the rules of the sport to help you get ready for race day
Transition Skills
Transition skills practice to ensure your transitions are efficient
